Boeing has reduced aircraft shipments by 56%

In May, the American Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation Boeing has reduced aircraft deliveries by 56% compared to the same period in 2018, according to ato.ru.
Previously, the American manufacturer also announced, that company is withdrawing a financial forecast for 2019, because it had not taken into account problems with the Boeing 737MAX model, for which no new orders had been received during recent months. Since March, exploitation and aircraft deliveries of this type have been suspended.
At the end of May, Boeing completed a software update for 737MAX and has prepared modifications in the pilot training system for controlling this aircraft type. At the moment, these aircrafts are submitted for consideration to the US aviation authorities and other countries, which have to decide when it is possible to resume an exploitation of these aircrafts.
According to the first four months of the year, Boeing aircraft deliveries have amounted to 172 aircrafts, which is 24.6% less than a previous year.
For comparison: in May, the main competitor of Boeing, the European manufacturer Airbus, has delivered 81 aircrafts, which is 59% more than last year, and also increased deliveries by 40% ,according to the five months of operation, transferring 313 aircrafts to customers.
