On November 15, a new training simulator complex was launched at the Professional Training Center of «Kazaeronavigatsia" RSE. It is designed for the ab-initio training and training of air traffic controllers.
The simulator complex "Air Traffic Simulation and Voice Technologies", manufactured in the USA, was created by the world developer of air traffic control simulation systems UFA Inc. by order of the enterprise Kazaeronavigatsia. It allows not only to undergo ab-initio training for future air traffic controllers, but also to improve the level of professional skills of current ones.
The technical capabilities of the complex allow to simulate air traffic and the ground situation at the airfield. And artificial intelligence during training can replace the pseudo-pilot, and AI will be in charge of radio communication. The latter's functions also include virtual reality modeling, which will allow to recreate the real workplace of an air traffic controller as much as possible.
Aeronautical maps loaded into the system of the new training simulator complex simulate operating airfields and the airspace of the Republic. Today, there are no analogues to this equipment either in Kazakhstan or in Central Asia.
As of the end of 2023, 291 people completed simulator training at the Professional Training Center of the RSE "Kazaeronavigatsia". Over the first 9 months of this year, 192 people completed similar training. The new simulator will allow the Center's instructors to train twice as many future and current air traffic controllers.
By the way, the Professional Training Center is the only aviation training center in the Republic of Kazakhstan that has the status of a full participant in the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Gold program. Today, the CTC management sets itself ambitious goals to achieve the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Platinum status and become a leading training center in the aviation sector not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Central Asia and the CIS.
