13 countries gathered at an international meeting in Tashkent

Specialists headed by the Director of the Air Traffic Management Department Askhat Kessikbayev, as well as the Senior Aviation Inspector of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan Adil Umurtayev took part in the ICAO Route Development Group - East Special Coordination Meeting 2024 (RDGE-SCM), which was held in Tashkent.
The meeting brought together representatives of 13 countries, leading airlines and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented a state report and a number of initiatives aimed at developing international airspace and introducing new air traffic service (ATS) routes.
Particular attention was paid to the proposal to create a third aviation corridor between Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China by the order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The new corridor, included in the catalog of preferred RDGE routes, is aimed at improving transport links between East Asia and Europe.
