China increased the number of civil aircrafts by 10% in 2018, according to the site Vesti.Ekonomika.

At the end of last year, there were 3,639 aircrafts in the country, which is 343 more than in the previous year, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of the PRC.

Over the past year, Chinese air carriers spent a total of 11.53 million flight hours, which is 8.9% more than in 2017, including 9.34 million hours on domestic air routes (an increase of 8.4%), more than 2,19 million hours - on international (an increase of 10.8).

At present, China is the second largest civil aviation market in the world. According to the International Air Transport Association forecast (IATA), by the mid-2020s, China will come out on top.
