Kazakhstan intends to subsidize air routes for a free air travel of children on the Kids go free principle. This reports sputniknews.kz, with reference to the press service of the Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly.
Subsidy is planned to be introduced under the "1 + 2" scheme - two children per parent, subject to the availability of the supporting document. The Minister noted that this practice is widely used in many developed countries of the world - UK (British Airways), Qatar (Qatar Airways), Scandinavian countries (Scandinavian Airlines), Tahiti (Air Tahiti Nui).
"We have imposed a state program now, waiting for approval and we are making the law on tourism activities. This is a huge plus, for example, when expenses covered. If a parent flies to rest within a country, this is plus two children under 15 years old - they are given free tickets. Free of charge. Within a country," the minister explained to journalists.
He noted, this innovation is focused on the development of domestic tourism.
Speaking of deadlines, Mukhamediuly said, that the procedure plans to finish within one to two months. Hereby, the program can enter into force in July-August 2019.
