Russian corporation became interested in Aktobe airport

The national company Kazakh Invest has agreed with the Russian corporation "AEON" to create a logistics hub based on the international airport in Aktobe, according to the Sputnik-Kazakhstan.
The memorandum was signed at the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR-2019) at the third annual global investment roundtable. The event was held in the capital of Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Askar Mamin.
“AEON”owns and manages controlling stakes in 14 regional airports in Russia. Roman Trotsenko, CEO of AEON, told the “Kommersant” Russian edition that the project provides a modernization of the runway and the construction of a new terminal. A working group will be set up to determine the amount of investment. According to preliminary estimates, the investment will be at least $ 50 million.
