The XIII-international volleyball tournament took place in Almaty. 14 teams from all regions of Kazakhstan, as well as from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia were invited to this tournament for the prize of O. Suleimenov. As a result of the competition, "Ardager" team from Taraz won the 2nd place. Part of the team plays Kupriyanov A.V. - head of flight service ATS Zhambyl branch of RSE "Kazaeronavigatsiya". Mr Novak became numerous prize-winner of competition on volleyball among the aviators of the Kazakh SSR. In 1988 he became the gold medalist of the volleyball tournament among Aeroflot aviation workers of the USSR. And in the following 1989 he became a silver medalist. 

Annual traditional volleyball tournaments are a tribute to the famous Kazakh poet, public figure and man of the world Olzhas Suleimenov. The main value of veteran sport is that it effectively introduces thousands of young people to physical culture, as the best way of agitation is a personal example.
