In the city of Xi'an, within the framework of the first Conference of the Working Group on Cooperation in the Field of Civil Aviation China - Central Asia (C5+1), negotiations were held between the aviation authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China.
The Kazakh delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Saltanat Tompiyeva, the Chinese delegation - by the Deputy Director General of the Department of International Relations of the Civil Aviation Administration of China Bai Wenli.
Specialists of "Kazaeronavigatsia" RSE also took part in a working meeting with representatives of the civil aviation of China. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to expand the number of permitted frequencies for designated carriers of the two countries to 124 flights per week and the possibility of performing cargo flights without any restrictions on points and frequencies.
Also, for the first time, an "open skies" regime was established between the two countries, which allows air carriers of Kazakhstan and China to perform up to 42 flights per week using the fifth degree of "freedom of the air". It is worth noting that China has issued this privilege to a limited number of countries.
Work on expanding bilateral cooperation will continue. Currently, negotiations are underway between Kazaeronavigatsia and the Air Traffic Management Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of China in the field of flight safety and air traffic management in Kazakhstan and China.
