Every day, Kazaeronavigatsia air traffic controllers serve hundreds of aircraft, but spring floods make adjustments to the everyday life of specialists.
As everyone knows, big water covers not only villages, but also cities. Every day, thousands of people are evacuated from flooded settlements. Emergency services, utility companies, and police and military personnel were brought in to combat the floods.
Kazaeronavigatsia specialists are also taking part in rescuing Kazakhstanis. These days, air traffic controllers coordinate not only passenger aircraft in the airspace, but also rescue aircraft. The tasks of the latter are detection and evacuation of people from hard-to-reach places.
Another important fact is that previously, based on the Kazaeronavigatsia enterprise, a Search and Rescue Coordination Center was formed, whose task is to promptly carry out search and rescue operations when receiving information about aircraft in distress. The crews of 27 helicopters are on duty every day. They are based in every region of Kazakhstan. If necessary, they can also be involved in rescue operations during natural disasters.
Today, helicopters from Kazaviaspas, Dala air, and the Aviation Division of East Kazakhstan region are involved in rescue operations.
