The Air China plane made an emergency landing in Chukotka

The Boeing 777 of Chinese airline Air China with 188 passengers on Board made an emergency landing at the airport of Anadyr after the fire alarm in the Luggage compartment, according to the website of the government of the Chukotka Autonomous district on Tuesday.

"All airport services provided a safe landing of the aircraft. According to the crew, there are 188 passengers on Board. No one was hurt," the report said. It is specified that the plane followed the route Beijing — Los Angeles (USA). After the forced landing, the evacuation of passengers was carried out on inflatable ladders.

The Governor of Chukotka Roman Kopin ordered to prepare hotels and transport in case of the need to accommodate passengers. The first Deputy Governor Leonid Nikolaev arrived at the airport on behalf of the head of the region.

"At the moment, all passengers are placed in the airport building, in the international flights zone and in the VIP-hall. They are provided with food and drinks. 

In addition, the airport has four translators — from English and Chinese. The fire on board of the plane was not confirmed.
