Exercises on the organization of ATS were conducted in Shymkent branch

May 30, 2018 in the Shymkent branch were held exercises on air traffic management in the event of unforeseen circumstances related to the violation of air traffic service in the airspace of the district control center (hereinafter - DCC) of the Shymkent branch.

The purpose of the exercise is to increase the level of training of the staff of the HC LDPE, ATS services and operation of radio equipment and communications of the Shymkent branch in the emergency situations and the ability to act quickly and harmoniously in case of unforeseen circumstances related to the violation of ATS in the area of responsibility of the DCC of the Shymkent branch.

This event was held in accordance with the "Annual program of exercises on the organization of ATS in case of unforeseen circumstances in the structural units of the RSE "Kazaeronavigatsiya".

The exercises involved personnel of the ATS and ERTOS services of the Shymkent branch and personnel of the Department of operational planning and air traffic control of the HC LDPE. The reason for the violation of air traffic service, according to the scenario of the exercise, was a strong earthquake, in consequence of which the building of the KDP was destroyed.

During the exercises, on the dispatching simulator, the work of the duty shift of the ATS service was simulated with the implementation of the complex task by the ATS personnel. Upon receipt of the introduction of strong aftershocks, in the area of responsibility of the RDC was 5 aircraft. The head of the flight decided to start the evacuation, instructions were given to the dispatchers of the RDC and the DP "HSE" to inform the crews of aircraft on the ATS and related control points about the nature of the "unforeseen circumstances" and the beginning of the evacuation, reported a violation of the ATS in the Department of operational planning and air traffic control Then shift left control stations.

Established on the basis Of the AC ATC center in Astana, the Task force took measures to ensure the continuity of international flights in the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with full restriction of the activities of the ATS bodies of the RDC Shymkent, the introduction of alternative routes and bringing to the users information about the beginning of the "action Plan for air traffic management in case of unforeseen circumstances related to the violation of ATS in the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
