DVOR/DME in Aktau branch

Due to the introduction of new technologies in the field of air traffic management requires modernization or replacement of obsolete and worn-out radio equipment. In this regard, the construction of the facility for the Dvor/DME radio navigation system has been completed. The DVOR/DME beacon is an improvement on the VOR/DME beacon and provides a much more accurate determination of the aircraft's azimuth and range. The construction was completed with acceptance testing of equipment, training of personnel with the issuance of certificates and flight inspection. The inspection was carried out by a laboratory aircraft belonging to LLP "Aeroprakt.kz", for the purpose of confirmation of the operational and technical characteristics declared by manufacturer. This equipment will be put into operation after publication in AIP.
