Session on the implementation issues in the airspace of the RK, founded on performance-based navigation (PBN)

March 18, led by the Chairman of the Air Navigation Management of the KGA (Chairman of the Inter-Agency Working Group for the PBN Implementation) O.A. Avdeyev, at the "Kazaeronavigatsia" RSE was held a session on the implementation issues in the airspace of the RK, founded on performance-based navigation (PBN).

The leadership of the «Kazaeronavigatsia», RSE, Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed issues of implementing  PBN project in the Republic of Kazakhstan, including the Astana and Almaty aerodromes, as well as on the ATM routes, organization air traffic using QNH pressure below the height (echelon) of the transition and measure units of feet / nautical miles, establishing of an unique absolute transition altitude of 10,000 feet in air traffic of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the readiness of aircraft operators to perform flights in PBN conditions.

Based on the discussion of flight inspection reports, the session’s participants approved presented schemes of departure, arrival and landing approach of the Astana and Almaty aerodromes.

"Kazaeronavigatsia"RSE jointly with "NK"Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary" JSC proposed to study the possibility of monitoring signals of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and notification of degradation cases (failure, interferences in service, etc.)

The session participants were informed that the draft order with changes in regulatory legal acts, related to the introduction of PBN in the airspace of the RK, was sent for approval to the state authorities with the entry into force on November 7, 2019.
