Air Astana will fly to Tokyo

The Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan has designated “Air Astana” airline as a carrier on the Nur-Sultan-Tokyo-Nur-Sultan route, the ministry’s press service reports.
In the second half of 2019, “Air Astana” plans to launch direct flights to Tokyo with a frequency of two flights in a week on the aircraft Boeing 767.
The carrier's appointment generated as part of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan orders execution, sounded at an expanded meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan on January 30, 2019.
In November 2016, the legal basis for opening direct flights has created with Japan, according to which the airlines of two countries have an opportunity to operate up to 14 flights a week between countries from each side.
