Bombardier will launch a 50-seat version of the CRJ700 aircraft

Bombardier, a Canadian aircraft manufacturer, announced the launch of a 50-seat version of the CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) regional family aircraft. New aircraft got the name CRJ550; its starting operator will be the US airline United Airlines. According to Bombardier, the CRJ550 will receive a “new type certificate based on the CRJ700”.
Also in Bombardier added that the new model will be "the first three-class aircraft with 50 seats" and will have "enough space for storing hand luggage and more space for passengers."
In Bombardier indicate that the plane on-board kitchen will be absent, instead of which will be located "self-service station with drinks and snacks." Also, in the aircraft cabin, a special place will be reserved for the storage of hand luggage, which will allow to get rid of the baggage check-in at the boarding gate.
