«Hungary stands for the simplification of the visa regime for Kazakhstan»
The number of Hungarian Schengen visas issued to Kazakhstan for this year increased three times and reached five thousand.
With the launch of direct flights between Astana and Budapest, mutual visits by citizens of Kazakhstan and Hungary have noticeably intensified, said the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of this country in Astana, Andras Barani, speaking at a briefing in the Central Communications Service.
According to his information, for a little more than a year of operation of the Hungarian airline Wizz Air, over 40 thousand people from two countries used its services.
“I hear more and more often the Hungarian speech on the streets of Astana, because our citizens, thanks to the steps taken by your government, can visit Kazakhstan without a visa for a period of 30 days. As for the Kazakhstan, the number of visas for this year increased three times issued by our consular department. Thus, in Astana about two thousand visas were issued, in Almaty - more than three thousand visas, ” clarified Mr. Barani.
Nevertheless, in his opinion, despite the difficulties of the visa regime, today the process of mutual knowledge of two nations continues in a more active mode. Therefore, the ambassador is confident that mutual tourism, business contacts and cultural exchanges between the two countries will noticeably improve in the near future.
