European aviation giant Airbus has begun work on creating a replacement aircraft for the A320neo, in which the company, with the support of the French government, intends to invest significantly more in the short term than in the aircraft program with zero environmental footprint.
In June 2023, Airbus Group President Guillaume Faury launched a project internally called eAction - a program of a completely traditional aircraft, which should be carried out simultaneously with the innovative project of a hydrogen-powered aircraft ZEROe. The French government decided to finance the first round of research and development (R&D).
