International air travel currently operates 567 flights per week to 110 destinations with 28 countries.
Over the past 2 years, 32 international routes have been opened to Milan, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and other cities of the world. In 2024-2025, it is planned to launch flights to Mumbai, Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai and New York. This year, 6 foreign airlines received permission to fly to Kazakhstan.
In addition, amendments were made to the “open skies” regime and all restrictions on the use of the fifth degree of “freedom of air” were lifted. As a result, from March 14, 2024, the largest Asian low-cost company Air Asia will begin operating flights in the Almaty-Kuala Lumpur direction and in the future plans to operate flights using the fifth degree of “freedom of air” to Jeddah. All this will increase competition in the market and increase the availability of tickets.
