The employees of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE took part in the Astana winter marathon

Last Sunday, December 23, Astana hosted the 2nd annual winter marathon, which gathered more than 1600 participants. The motto of Astana Winter Marathon – “Beyond the possible” - very clearly and concisely describes the participants of the race: it is important not only general physical training, ability to distribute the forces, but also endurance and ability to overcome themselves. The races took place at a distance of 5, 10 and 21 kilometers. The 42 km classic marathon was canceled, since international rules prohibit such races in extreme cold (temperature -25 degrees).

Despite the cold weather, the employees of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE participated in the race at 5 km: Mr. A. Omarov, the air traffic controller of aerodrome control center of ATS from “Central Kazakhstan Regional Center of ATM”, Mrs. O. Kaliyeva, Mrs. L. Agabalyan and Ms. D. Temirkhanova, the employees of the Human Resources and Social Affairs division, and Kh. A. Serayev, the Head of the Human Resources and Social Affairs Division, participated in the race at 10 km.

All workers successfully finished without frostbite. In addition to the commemorative medals, hot tea, “plov”, pies were waiting for the race participants at the finish.
