The specialist training of the Professional Training Center within the ICAO’s TRAINAIR PLUS Program

Since 2015, the Professional Training Center is successfully a member of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS International Program.

For 2018, ICAO have reassessed the Professional Training Center. The audit was conducted by the Manager of the Training Design and Development Department of the ICAO Global Aviation Training Office, Miss Annie (Jie) Huang. ICAO reassessments every three years are mandatory for all members of the TRAINAIR PLUS program. This allows ICAO to maintain oversight of the quality and activities of the training organizations of the TRAINAIR PLUS program, ensuring the fulfillment of uniform established requirements.

As part of the TRAINAIR PLUS program, one of the requirements is to have a certified manager in the Professional Training Center who is responsible for all information exchange between ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS and the Civil Aviation Training Center.  On the 8^th of December, 2017 Ms. Gulsana Kantayeva was appointed as such coordinator from the “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE.

In order to further progress in the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program, and to obtain the status of the ICAO Regional Center the coordinator of the Professional Training Center successfully completed the “Training Managers Course”. This training will allow the certified coordinator of the Professional Training Center to interact with the ICAO Global Aviation Training Office on maintaining the status of the Professional Training Center as the full member of TRAINAIR PLUS, for coordination all elements and stages of developing standardized courses (STP), as well as joint cooperation with ICAO to promote and implement courses. 

Further promotion on the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program will allow the Professional Training Center of the “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE to maintain high standards of aviation personnel training, expand international cooperation in this area and become a recognizable regional center for the aviation personnel training.
