Turkey's national carrier, Turkish Airlines, intends to purchase 355 aircraft from the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus. Delivery of the first aircraft from this batch is planned for 2026, said Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish Airlines.

“We plan to purchase 355 aircraft, of which 240 are on a final basis and 114 on an option basis. The first deliveries are expected in 2026.”

According to him, thanks to the implementation of the project, Turkish Airlines, together with its subsidiaries Ajet and Sunexpress, will increase its fleet of aircraft to 950 and will become one of the seven largest air carriers in the world. “There are three major airlines in the United States: United, American and Delta. Transformations are taking place in Asia; how many will leave the market and remain is still unknown. There are three other large Chinese companies. Lufthansa and Air France are left behind us. We will be one of the seven giants in air transportation,” said the head of Turkish Airlines.
