and the Coordination Council «Eurasia»

In the period from October 8 to 11, 2018, the 35th Joint Meeting of the Coordination Group of Experts and the Coordination Council “Eurasia” was held in Baku (the Republic of Azerbaijan).

The meeting was attended by delegations from aeronautical enterprises from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as enterprises and organizations – the permanent observers of the Coordination Council “Eurasia”.

As part of the observers of the Coordination Council “Eurasia”, there were representatives of international organizations in the field of civil aviation - ICAO, IATA, IAC, as well as representatives of enterprises manufacturing air navigation equipment and aviation training centers.

In the period from October 8 to 9, 2018, the meeting of Coordination Group of Experts was held to discuss issues according to the agenda, and a report on the work of the Coordination Group of Experts for 2018 was prepared.

From 10 to 11 October 2018 the meeting of the Coordination Council “Eurasia” was held with the participation of heads of ANS enterprises.

Mr. Azat Bekturov, the Director General of the Republican State Enterprise “Kazaeronavigatsia” made a presentation on the current status and development prospects of the air navigation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For the first time at meetings of the Coordination Council “Eurasia” the round tables were held on the following topics:

- Integration of unmanned aircraft systems in non-segregated airspace;

- Airspace of free routes. The prospects of implementation in the region of the Coordination Council “Eurasia”.

During the meeting, the visits were organized to the ATS Center, the Control Tower at the Baku International Airport and the new Azerbaijan Airspace Supervision & Efficiency Center (ASEC).

The next 36th meeting of the Coordination Council “Eurasia” is scheduled for May 2019 in Dushanbe, and the 37th Meeting of the Coordination Council “Eurasia” in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
