In October 10, 2023 a bilateral meeting was held in Astana between the “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE and the Xinjiang ATM Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

During the meeting, issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of flight safety and air traffic management between Kazakhstan and China were discussed. The meeting participants also discussed the possibility of signing a letter of agreement between the “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE and the Xinjiang ATM Bureau, the purpose of which is to determine coordination procedures between ACC Urumi (China) and ACC Almaty (Kazakhstan) in the provision of air traffic services. These procedures are in addition to those specified in ICAO and the national documents of the two countries.
