In the Petropavlovsk branch of «Kazaeronavigatsia» RSE in the year 2023, new equipment was implemented to replace outdated models. Since June 8, instead of the aerodrome surveillance air traffic control radar (DRL-7SM), the MORAVA 10/M10S/ADS-B radar system has been put into operation. This equipment complies with the requirements of ICAO International Standards and Recommendations for ground-based radar facilities and ADS-B equipment. The aerodrome primary S-band radar, MSSR with S mode and ADS-B equipment provides radar control in the aerodrome area via the primary channel, as well as on air routes and in the aerodrome area via the secondary channel operating in A/C/S and ADS-B modes.

Since June 29, instead of the automated workplace of air traffic controllers (Sintez ARM-A), a modern complex of Phoenix air traffic control automation systems has been implemented. The air traffic control system is designed for automated air traffic control in the aerodrome area, based on the automatic collection, processing and display of information from primary and secondary radars, ADS-B facilities, automatic radio direction finder, flight plan information and meteorological information

The new equipment was installed as part of an upgrade program that aims to improve the quality and reliability of air traffic control and surveillance systems. Thanks to the introduction of new equipment, the Petropavlovsk branch will be able to quickly and efficiently carry out its activities and ensure safety.
