In the coming years, ICAO does not plan to audit Kazakhstan for safety
Thus, an electronic bulletin of the Plan of Actions for the implementation of the ICAO Universal Program for conducting audits of the organization of oversight of safety for the next year was released. This Plan represents ICAO's planned audits of Member State aviation authorities for the forthcoming period.
According to the published Plan, an ICAO audit of the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan in 2023 and 2024 is not planned. By the way, today in Kazakhstan the level of compliance with safety standards is 82%, which is comparable to the average indicator of member countries of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
As a reminder, ICAO selects States to conduct audits under the Universal Program based on various factors. In particular, the risk scores, the results of previous audits, the extent of aviation activity in the State, and the progress made by States in addressing identified deficiencies.
