Lufthansa confirmed its latest increase in capacity in the Chinese Сargo market by adding a service for a two-week cargo service on a B777 aircraft to Chengdu, writes AVIAV. In addition, Lufthansa Cargo offers cargo capacity of passenger traffic of Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines in destinations to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Nanjing, Qingdao and Shenyang. Lufthansa serves Shenyang in North East China three times a week with passenger services from Frankfurt from the end of March this year. In 2017, Lufthansa Cargo transported 240,000 tons of cargo to and from China. Last year, Greater China (mainland China plus Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) became the third largest export market of Lufthansa Cargo in terms of volume (surpassed only by Germany and the US) and the second largest revenue (surpassed only by Germany).
