The World Airport Awards were presented at the international exhibition Passenger Terminal Expo 2023, which took place in Amsterdam.

The World Airport Awards is the most prestigious award in the global airport industry. It is considered the benchmark for quality and evaluates the level of customer service and convenience at more than 550 airports around the world.

The World Airport Survey awards are based on questionnaires completed by airport customers over an 8-month period of independent worldwide survey of aviation facilities.

The survey and awards are independent of any airport control or influence. The study assesses the quality of customer service at the airport and the effectiveness of key indicators - from check-in, arrivals and transfers, to shopping, security and passport control at the boarding gate.
