Direct flight between Astana and Ankara was launched

As part of the work to further expand the flight geography and increase the number of international flights, on December 5, a solemn ceremony was held to open a new route between the capitals of Kazakhstan and Turkey by the Turkish low-cost carrier “AnadoluJet”, which is a subsidiary of “Turkish Airlines”.

The event was held with the participation of Mr. Talgat Lastayev, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee, Mr. Ufuk Ekichi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Kazakhstan, Mr. Akhmet Tsyldyz, the Marketing Director of “AnadoluJet” and Mr. Daulet Khamzin, the President of “Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport” JSC.

The flights between Astana and Ankara will be operated on B-737 type aircraft with a frequency of 2 flights per week. 140 passengers arrived and 157 departed on the first flights.

It is expected that the opening of this flight will have a positive impact on the development of trade, tourism, business between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
