“AnadoluJet” launched flights between Almaty and Ankara

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Turkey held negotiations in July this year to increase the number of flights and routes between Kazakhstan and Turkey.

As a result of this instruction, as well as work to further expand the flight geography and increase the number of international flights under the “open skies” regime in Kazakhstan, November 20, 2022, a solemn ceremony was held to open a new route Almaty - Ankara by the Turkish low-cost carrier “AnadoluJet”, which is a subsidiary of “Turkish Airlines”.

The event was held with the participation of Mr. Talgat Lastayev, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee, Mr. Majit Boyar, the Deputy Director General of the AnadoluJet company and Mr. Alp Er Tunga Ersoy, the President of “Almaty International Airport” JSC.

The flights will be operated on B-737 type aircraft with a frequency of 2 flights per week by the “AnadoluJet” carrier.

The opening of this flight will have a positive impact on the development of trade, tourism, business between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
