European aerospace corporation Airbus SE plans to ramp up production of its popular narrow-body aircrafts despite the ongoing supply chain challenges. In particular, the company intends to increase the production of A320 family liners up to 65 units per month, according to the Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury.

Previously, Airbus has not ability to accept new orders for the A320 aircrfts until 2028. At the same time, the company notes that the weakest supply chain associated with the supply of engines has been improved. Airbus suppliers - General Electric Co. and Pratt & Whitney (owned by Raytheon Technologies Corp.) have begun contributing their obligations.

However, Airbus kept its production forecast for this year at the level of 700 aircrafts. At the end of September, the aircraft manufacturer produced 437 aircrafts, thereby increasing their net profit by 65% (667 million euros) in the third quarter, revenue - by 27%(13.31 billion euros).
