The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is working to further increase the number of flights and expand the flight geography to / from Kazakhstan.
Earlier, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, negotiations were held with the aviation authorities of Turkey on air communication between Kazakhstan and Turkey, as a result of which an agreement was reached to double the number of routes, flights, and carriers.
As a result of this work, the Turkish airline “Pegasus Airlines” since November 1 of this year launched a new flight on the route Almaty - Ankara and passengers of Kazakhstan were able to travel on direct flights to the capital of Turkey.
Regular flights between the cities of Almaty and Ankara will be operated twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays on A320 and B737 type aircraft.
The increase in flights and the expansion of the flight geography will contribute to the further development of trade, economic, business, investment and tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
