SITA is looking for partners to expand smart technologies

European aviation IT solutions provider SITA has launched a program to identify development companies that will enable to “grow SITA in a dynamic new direction.” The Launchpad service is presented in four areas: digital identity, deep analytics and data management, aviation security at airports and sustainable alternative energy sources.

According to SITA, they intend to expand the business in these directions by altering economic demands in the aviation industry. The pandemic, subsequent challenges, staff shortages have led to changes in passenger behavior patterns, thereby complicating any pre-flight service for both airlines and airports. In some cases, this requires essential changes in production processes since passengers are accustomed to the digitalization in commerce and other areas of daily life and require the same level of service in aviation market.
