Swiss Airlines applied the reduce drag technology

Swiss International Airlines (part of the Lufthansa Group) became the first carrier introducing the AeroShark ribbled technology to reduce airflow resistance. The first Boeing 777-300ER that was covered with such a wrap, operated from Zurich to Miami at the end of last week.

AeroShark technology, developed by MRO provider Lufthansa Technik in collaboration with the chemical company BASF, is already being used on Lufthansa Cargo's B-777F-300ER wide-body aircrafts. But the surface area on these aircrafts from the Swiss fleet is larger: 950 sq. m compared to 800 sq. m.
