The Professional Training Center of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE constantly maintains high standards for the training of air traffic controllers, corresponding to the international level. For this purpose, a new contemporary simulator complex was purchased, to be delivered and put into operation by the end of 2022. Currently, the Center’s specialists are actively preparing to work on the new simulator, undergoing training in simulator maintenance, maintaining the software and using its training capabilities. As part of this work, the specialists and top management of the Center took part in the Annual UFA User Group Meeting in  Helsinki, Finland. UFA is the world’s leading developer of air traffic control simulation systems.

Within three days, the users of simulators - air navigation service providers and aviation training centers were presented with the software of the newest ATC simulators.

The presentation demonstrated the operation of several software and hardware solutions. The specialists of the Professional Training Center studied proposals for several of them, suitable for use in the conditions of the Professional Training Center of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE. The ATLive software and hardware complex, consisting of a widescreen monitor with touch control and 3D display, allows a group of users to view and control objects through interactive interaction in the form of a game process, which, according to the developers, significantly improves the quality of training, perception of information and memorization. Another ATVehicle software product is an driving simulator in controlled zone that allows you to effectively and safely train drivers at the airport to operate special equipment and work in conjunction with Control Point “Tower” or autonomously. Also interesting was the product that provides distance training - a virtual center (Virtual SimCenter). The new Auto Controller technology makes it possible to automatically control the Control Point “Tower”, Control Point “Approach”, taxiing, etc., conduct radio exchange without the participation of pseudo-pilots according to a pre-written and most plausible scenario.

In general, participation in the presentation allowed the specialists of the Professional Training Center to get acquainted with the most leading technologies on the ATC simulator market, evaluate the location and layout of all equipment, adopt the best practices of leading training centers in the application field of ATC simulators.
