Qatar Airways was named the best airline in the world

Qatar Airways was named as the World's Best Airline for the seventh time at the World Airline Awards 2022. After two years of virtual ceremonies, the World Airline Awards 2022 was held in the format of large-scale festival at the historic Langham Hotel in London, representing airlines from all over the world.

The World Airline Awards, widely known as the "Oscars of the Aviation Industry", was established in 1999. The Award is considered completely independent and impartial since all the costs for customer surveys and awarding winners are paid by the promoters Skytrax.

Singapore Airlines was ranked second in the world, third place was ranked by Emirates, fourth and fifth place were ranked by ANA All Nippon Airways and Qantas Airways. In total, there were more than 350 airlines on the preliminary list. Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines were among the winners that collected maximum number of prizes - 9 awards. North America was represented by Delta Air Lines, winning six awards. Europe was represented by Turkish Airlines, winning four awards.
