The flights between Kazakhstan and Qatar will increase

Mr. Talgat Lastayev, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with Mr. Mohamed Faleh Al-Hajri, the President of the Aviation Authorities of the State of Qatar and Mr. Abdulaziz Sultan Al-Rumeikhi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation, including further increasing the number of flights and expanding the geography of flights between Kazakhstan and Qatar, the training and refresher training of aviation specialists, and attracting Qatari investments to Kazakhstan.
So, today the Qatari airline “Qatar Airways” operates regular passenger flights on the route Doha - Almaty with a frequency of 4 flights per week.
According to the Qatari side, the airline “Qatar Airways” plans to start operating flights between the cities of Nur-Sultan and Doha from the spring-summer navigation of 2023.
The parties also discussed and agreed on training and refresher training for representatives of the civil aviation industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, the parties discussed the issues of the forthcoming 41st session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which will be held from September 27 to October 7 this year.
