Usharal Airport is certified and approved for operation

The “Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan” JSC conducted a certification survey of the Usharal airport after the reconstruction of the artificial runway.

For today, the main types of work, including lengthening the runway to 2700 m and widening the taxiway, have been completed, the Akimat of Zhetysu region, together with the contractor, is taking measures to implement the remaining work on the project.

Based on the survey results, the Usharal airport was issued a certificate of airworthiness for operation.

Today, airlines will open air ticket sales on subsidized destinations Usharal-Almaty and Usharal-Nur-Sultan. The flights will be operated by SCAT airline by “CRJ2” aircraft (capacity 50 seats) with a frequency of 14 flights per week for each direction in the summer season, 7 flights the rest of the time. The flights will start on August 15, 2022.

Also, on the route Usharal - Taldykorgan, the airline “Zhetysu” from August 11 will operate flights with a frequency of 28 flights in the summer season, 14 flights in the rest of the period. The flights will be carried out by “L-410” aircraft with a capacity of 19 seats.
