The next international symposium “ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium” was held from June 27 to July 01 in Istanbul, Turkey

This is the first event organized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Turkey in cooperation with the ICAO World Aviation Forum (IWAF), the Global Aviation Cooperation Symposium (GACS) and the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS International Training Program. The purpose of bringing together these events is to highlight the latest digital tools, key initiatives and combine efforts to support aviation restoration, innovation implementation, sustainability and operational decision making after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Symposium was attended by 140 countries and representatives from more than 200 aviation training centers-TRAINAIR PLUS (TPP) program participants and other training centers, as well as ministries, directorates general of civil aviation, international and regional organizations, aviation service providers (air navigation services, operators of airports, airlines), financial and development institutions and recruitment agencies.
During the symposium, the specialists of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE took part in eight working sessions, held in the formats of interactive panels, discussions, round table negotiations, meetings. During technical breaks, the working meetings were held with representatives of aviation organizations and training centers of the Turkish Academy of Civil Aviation, Russia, Mongolia, Latvia, Azerbaijan on cooperation in training.
As a member of the Steering Committee of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program, the representatives of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE also took part in the 11th working meeting, during which strategies for the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program development were discussed. The Steering Committee developed mechanisms to ensure more efficient implementation of training course schedules by members of the ICAO TP program, as well as the creation of subgroups within the TPSC Steering Committee in the following areas: regulators, airports, airlines, ATS, rescuers and firefighters, aviation safety.
Within the framework of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE and the Incheon International Airport Corporation. This memorandum will allow the parties to support development and create a platform for cooperation in the development and implementation of training programs, the exchange of training courses and instructors, and other activities.
The Professional Training Center of “Kaearonavigatsia” RSE is aimed at further cooperation in this area with the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS, aviation training organizations and other international partners, and also hopes for a timely and optimized response from the aviation authorities of the state and service providers in the field of creating mechanisms for interaction to determine the most priority areas of the aviation personnel training in the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to meet the needs of the industry.
