Almaty International Airport presented two options for the location of the new terminal

Almaty International Airport presented the conceptual projects of the new terminal so that citizens could familiarize themselves and, if they wish, leave their comments, which will be taken into account.

The published document with projects notes that the most suitable location for the construction of the new international terminal is where the VIP terminal building is now located.

The first option provides for the preservation of the VIP terminal in its original location and the construction of a new international terminal building next to it.

The second option involves the construction of a new terminal inside the VIP terminal building while retaining many of the key heritage elements, and the VIP terminal itself will move to a new location, located very close to Zakarpatska Street and the southern apron.
