Turkish Airlines will be renamed the Türkiye Hava Yolları

According to Sözcü, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has endorsed change of name from the usual international Turkish Airlines to the Türkiye Hava Yolları.

In June, the Turkish authorities sent a letter to the United Nations Organization, in which they requested the Organization to re-consider and change the country's name in all the official documents. The UN granted the request and officially registered the name of the country as the Republic of Türkiye. In this regard, the official air carrier was rebranded. According to the Turkish authorities, the new title significantly will enhance the prestige of the country.
