ICAO has issued new Requests for Information (RFIs) to public and private sector innovators in connection with its upcoming DRONE ENABLE Symposium, aimed at developing the next-generation global standards and solutions for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), UAS Traffic Management (UTM) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
"Governments and innovators are looking forward to the DRONE ENABLE Symposium to provide global solutions. At the moment, they are focused on enhancing the efficiency of next generation manned and unmanned aerial vehicles into limited airspace," Mr. Huang Carlos Salazar said, the ICAO Secretary General.
All the RFI responses obtained in the course of preparing the DRONE ENABLE Symposium will be assessed by international experts, and selected speakers will have the opportunity to promote future regulations under which drones, air taxis and other new types of aircrafts will be used to provide public and commercial services.
The DRONE ENABLE Symposium will be hosted by ICAO in 2022 and will be held on November 14-16, 2022 at ICAO Headquarters.
