The European Commission welcomes the efforts of Kazakhstan to reform the civil aviation industry

The delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Mr. Talgat Lastayev, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with the delegation of the European Commission. The meeting on flight safety issues was also attended by Mr. Azat Bekturov, the Advisor to the Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development, the Director General of “Kazaeronavigatsia” RSE, Mr. Katalin Radu, the Director General of “Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan” JSC, the employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Belgium, representatives of EASA and the Irish aviation authorities.
EU representatives noted the involvement of the government of Republic of Kazakhstan in the development of civil aviation. The European Commission also welcomed the efforts of the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan to reform the civil aviation industry.
At the same time, the parties began discussing technical issues that need to be realized for the further implementation of European flight safety standards.
In this regard, the Civil Aviation Committee and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan are working to amend the current legislation in the field of air transport.
It should be noted that this visit precedes the future meeting of the Flight Safety Committee of the European Commission in May 2022.
