On May 9, 2022, global aviation leaders will gather in Riyadh for the first Aviation Forum of the Future. The two-day event will combine government and business leaders, international leaders and regulators. The goal is to develop international aviation industry by offering advanced solutions in a post-pandemic world.
More 120 speakers and over 2,000 participants and representatives from all continents will attend the Forum hosted by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (GACA). The Forum includes 40 sessions focused on three main thematic areas: passenger service, sustainability and business recovery after COVID-19.
The transport and logistics sector in Saudi Arabia, which is one of the main elements of the Vision 2030 economic transformation plan, is developing rapidly. The GACA's National Aviation Sector Strategy (NASS) aims to increase air traffic up to 250 destinations, covering 330 million passengers and doubling freight traffic by 4.5 million tons. The Kingdom will soon launch another new national airline and construct a major new international airport in Riyadh in addition to eight new regional airports.
