From June 1, Kazakhstan will launch direct flights from Nur-Sultan and Almaty to Heraklion, Tengritravel.kz writes. Flights will be operated on Mondays and Wednesdays from Nur-Sultan, from Almaty on Tuesdays and Thursdays by comfortable Airbus A321LR. To date, another additional frequency from Nur-Sultan and Almaty is being worked out.

Kazakhstan citizens need to obtain a Greek Schengen visa. Passengers traveling to Greece must provide a certificate with a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to arrival or a rapid coronavirus test taken 24 hours before the arrival. This requirement does not apply to children under 5 years of age and fully vaccinated passengers. Upon arrival, passengers may be invited for a random coronavirus test.

In addition, a direct flight Milan - Almaty - Milan will be launched at the end of May 2022. Flights will be operated on a regular basis by private Italian company Neos.
