Topical issues of development of the civil aviation industry were considered

On February 14, 2022 sectoral meeting on the development of the civil aviation industry, which was chaired by Mr. Berik Kamaliyev, Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, via videoconferencing was held . The event was attended by representatives of the Committee of Civil Aviation, "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan" JSC, the domestic aviation enterprises, veterans of the industry, the Committee of Logistics and Transportation NCE "Atameken" and the Kazakhstan Association of Small Aircraft. During the meeting were discussed the results of the year 2021 and plans for 2022.
Director General of Kazaeronavigatsia RSE Mr. Azat Bekturov also made a report. During the report, the Director General reported on the progressive growth of production indicators and the increase in flight safety. Mr. Azat Bekturov said in his speech, "The level of compliance of the Kazakhstani air navigation system with ICAO standards in 2021 demonstrated a considerable increase from 87% to 95%, with the average safety level of 84%, which is 15% higher than the global average. We are actively introducing advanced technologies using ground and satellite navigation systems. Now the process of introducing performance-based navigation - PBN - is underway. In fact, we are talking about the use of satellite systems that have come to replace traditional navigation based on the use of ground-based radio beacons. In 2019, this type of navigation was introduced at the Nur-Sultan Aerodrome and in the upper airspace of Kazakhstan, in 2020 at the Almaty Aerodrome. In 2022, it is planned to introduce it at the Aerodromes of Aktau, Atyrau, Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Usharal.
In general, the meeting was productive, reflecting the significant achievements of the industry over the past year and discussing the challenges ahead for the coming period.
