The European busiest airport was named in 2021

Airports Council International (ACI) of Europe presented the annual results. At the end of 2021, Istanbul Airport became the busiest airport in Europe, thereby serving 36.98 million passengers. The second is the Moscow Sheremetyevo. During the year the airport served 30,943,456 passengers. The top three is closed by Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, serving 26,201,698 tourists.
Amsterdam Schiphol and another airport of Moscow Domodedovo peaked within the top five European airports.
Reportedly, Istanbul Airport ranked first place among European airports in 2020, despite the covid-19 restrictions. During this period, the Turkish air harbor served more than 23,000,000 passengers.
