Wizz Air will significantly restructure its fleet

Wizz Air will significantly restructure its fleet in the next 5 years by increasing the average capacity of aircrafts, according to the airline's financial statements for the last quarter of 2021.

The airline has begun operating in 2004, based on Airbus A320 airliners (180 seats). Currently, Wizz Air is conducting the process of gradual decommission of these aircrafts by replacing them with the Airbus A321neo aircrafts (239 seats). At the moment, the Wizz Air fleet consists of more spacious A321s equipped with various modifications. At the end of 2021, the fleet included 150 aircrafts: 66 units of A320s and 84 units of A321s.

According to Wizz Air, its fleet will include 383 aircrafts: 40 units of A320neos and 343 units of A321s within 5 years.
