The latest disputes and concerns that 5G mobile services could interfere with aircraft equipment has led some major international airlines to cancel flights or change aircrafts that are operated on US routes.
The aviation authorities and the Boeing Corporation are concerned that the Boeing 777,which is widely used around the world, may be affected by the new network. The reason is simple: these Boeings have a special altimeter system, causing new radio towers to transmit incorrect signals. Several airlines immediately announced that they would use other aircrafts in order to keep their schedules intact.
The other day, Emirates has announced that intends to terminate flights to several US cities. Such airlines as All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Air India are temporarily suspending flight operations to the US. Korean Air, Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific and Austrian Airlines have realigned routes intended for use by the 777s.
