Russian passenger and baggage check-in system will be installed at Uzbekistan airports

"Sirena" company has signed an agreement with Uzbekistan Airports, a single operator for managing international airports, related to DCS Аstra passenger and baggage check-in system at 11 international airports of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan Airports is a single executive body for 11 airports of Uzbekistan. The key tasks of the company are the implementation of the airport development strategy, attracting investments to improve the infrastructure of air harbors, process optimization for passenger service, cargo, delivery and baggage, a high level of service and efficient operation of all airport services.

DCS Astra (Departure Control System Astra) is a multilingual host system that automatically performs all the necessary operations of the passenger and baggage check-in process, as well as maintaining the seasonal schedule and monitoring the implementation of the daily flight plan.

The airport that performed the first flight check-in within this system was Namangan International Airport. Using the capabilities of DCS Astra, the air carriers of Uzbekistan will be able to offer their passengers the check-in service directly on the website. The ability to check-in online amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic would reduce in-person interaction with staff, thereby making the travel more contactless and safer.
