A passenger traffic of S7 Airlines has been almost recovered in 2021

In 2021, the largest Russian private S7 Airlines (Siberia) served almost 17.831 million passengers, falling short of the 0.63% needed compared to 2019. Moreover, international flights were operated by 68% less than before the COVID-19 crisis owing to ongoing cross-border restrictions.

A large percentage of passengers (16.262 million) operated domestically, which reflected an increase of 24.5 % compared to 2019. In December, the airline's passenger traffic was amounted to 1.4 million people, thereby exceeding the pre-pandemic values ​​for the same month.

During the year, the airline has continued to actively modernize its fleet with new fuel-efficient Airbus A320neo aircrafts. Currently, the quantity of these aircrafts has reached 38 units, more than all other operators combined, amounting 38% of the total enrollment.
